Amazing halal! My husband gets lamb/chicken and I get chicken plate. The meat is addictively tender, and flavors are great. Quantity of meat to rice is insanely generous. They do drown it with sauce (which I personally love!) Hummus and pita are also spot on. You can always expect the same quality every time which is a bonus for me. Easily the best halal in south austin. Love this spot!

Late night spot on Congress. Guy at counter was helpful and nice about my gluten allergy. Food was very reasonably priced and the portions were HEFTY. The food was SUPER good! In a sketchy parking lot of a convenience store but some of the best food trucks are lol!

Wish I took pics but I ate it up so fast because it was so good. I got the chicken falafel wrap and oohhh my. So juicy and flavorful very generous portion. Bonus points from me for using greens instead regular lettuce but yah overall very good and full gyro. also had the hummas and pita and both were fluffy and delicious. The hummas kind of had a whipped texture/flavor to it but i enjoyed it. Service was excellent they seemed delighted to have us. Probably my go to Halal food truck now!

god bless Mediterranean food carts still open after a long day at a music festival. Had the chicken gyro. Utterly delicious and a ton of food. Ate dinner on a wire spool down a covered alleyway while listening to two adorable Mexican kids playing while their parents worked at the taco truck nearby. Utterly charming.

Wow, just exquisite. This is one of the best "chicken over rice" mediterranean dishes I've ever had! Can't believe I haven't been here until now. This is reminiscent of the BEST I've ever had (sadly haven't had them in New York where they apparently originate), back when I lived in Houston. A brick- and- mortar joint called Gyro Hut, if I recall. This is as good! Don't question why it has 5 stars, it's deserved, believe me! Dear financial advisors who tell us to cook at home to save money... forget it, this is too delicious to pass up! This food truck opens at 5pm, just FYI.

Stumbled upon this place thanks to Yelp and craving some Mediterranean food and this hit the spot! This food truck is in the "Soco Market" lot on SoCo and you can call ahead so it's ready when you get there. The guy working was very nice and food was made pretty quickly too. Both combo and lamb plate were great. White sauce is delicious. Red sauce is spicy so be cautious - we just got ours on the side. The fries were the only things that were super disappointing. Got seasoning on them but pretty tasteless and kind of undercooked? Not a fan and definitely not for $6. The plate portions are great though. Will definitely be back!

Right outside of the SOCO market sits a little white food truck SOCO halal. Don't let the small size fool you, this place packs flavor! I was shocked how tasty absolutely everything was to enjoy. Lamb, beef, the rice and even the salad had the perfect amount of seasoning and taste. These guys really saved me yesterday when the day flew by and all of a sudden it was 10 pm and I was starving! Lucky they are close by and open late. Shared some of my meal with Grandma and she also approved! Good fast service as well.

Soco Halal is an unexpected gem in South Austin. You'll get great service, efficiency, and most importantly, amazing food! You also get hefty portions for a solid price. I ordered the falafel plate and was happy to see the falafel being made to order. It was the best falafel I've had in a long time, if not ever. My dish was jam packed with flavor; the rice was so so good and added sauces were tasty. Overall: I'm really appreciative of this small business turning my bad day into a good one. It was well over 100 degrees and they're in the truck with a literal fire going, but were still intentional, kind, and efficient. My dish was definitely the comfort food I needed!
